Paxar said it will embed the SAMSys MP9311 RFID UHF EPC Gen 2 read-write module in their onarch 9855 RFID desktop smart label printers sold in the United States and Europe.

Paxar, a supplier of RFID retail supply chain print codecs, said that it will embed the SAMSys MP9311 RFID UHF EPC Gen 2 read-write module into its Monarch 9855 RFID desktop smart label printer, which is sold in the United States and Europe. The reader was produced by SAM Systems in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The MP9311 detects and embeds thermal coded RFID chips directly or transfers barcodes. It can also verify that the schedule is correct and then print out bar code data that is readable by the naked eye. In addition to supporting the Gen 2 tag standard, the new Paxar printer can read the EPC Class 0+, EPC Class 1 and Philips UCODE 1.19 protocol tags. There is a version of the SAMSys MP9311 RFID module that can operate at any given RFID high frequency in any country. One version can only operate at North American RFID high frequency 902-928 MHz.
